Darrell grew up in the Elizabethtown area and graduated from Elizabethtown High School in 1965. In 1969 he graduated with honors from Elizabethtown College where he received a Bachelor's Degree while working full time. Immediately following graduation from college, he enlisted in and served in the US Army from 1969-1972, primarily assigned to lll Corps Artillery. Following his Honorable discharge from active duty, he entered Duquesne Law School in Pittsburgh and graduated in 1975, qualifying for the law Review. While in law in school he clerked for the Honorable J Robert Dauer, President Judge of the criminal division in Alleghany Country. He was admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of PA in 1975.

While attending Elizabethtown College and Duquesne Law School, Darrell obtained security licensed and worked as a security underwriter he also obtained licenses as an agent for the Equitable Life Assurance company in Pittsburgh, PA, as a life, health and casualty agent, employed full time while attending law school full time. 

Darrell is admitted to practice in all PA State Courts, as well as the Middle and Eastern District of PA Federal Court, Bankruptcy Court, the US Supreme Court and the US tax Court.

In Darrell's more than 40 years of law practice, he has focused his professional practice on representing clients, primarily in the south central PA area. He has engaged in what is traditionally called "General Practice", handling criminal cases, family law / domestic cases, corporate, business and tax mattes for clients, personal injury and wrongful death cases as well as assisting clients with estate planning, wills, trusts, and handling the settlement of decedents estates. He was a title insurance agent and now is an approved attorney for several title insurance companies.

While practicing law in Lancaster County, Darrell was elected to Elizabethtown Borough Council and was Vice President, Serving for approximately 6 and 1/2 years (Six and a half). In addition he was Vice President of the Lancaster County Planning Commission for several years during that same period of time. For approximate two and a half years he was appointed as a Divorce Master in Lancaster County. For a number of years, he taught real estate law, tax law, business law and wills and trust courses at various colleges in the Lancaster and Harrisburg area.

He has successfully handled cases not only in Common Pleas. court, but also in Appellate Courts, handling everything from (literally) traffic violations through homicide cases and everything in between. In 1981 Darrell was nominated and approved for inclusion in Who's Who in the East. He has been a private pilot for approximately 36 years, certified by the AOPO as an aviation Attorney Specialist and a member of the Lancaster county bar association.

Darrell assists his clients in resolving whatever difficulties they are experiencing and provides the legal guidance and representation tailored to their specific situation.
